Spacial Tendencies : In Vanity Parts 1-4 at NYsoundCircuit, 2010-2011
During the multimedia salon concert series NYsoundCircuit a vanity was installed and a drawing was created at each of four events for, the duration of each event, using reflections in the mirrors as the only visual reference. This project began with NYsoundCircuit 1.2 on May 15, 2010 and continued through NYsoundCircuit 2.3 on January 15, 2011.
Spacial Tendencies : Vision Graph
Six-day performance & installation at Vision Festival XII, June 19-24, 2007. A scroll was drawn each day at a rate of 7 1/2 inches/fifteen minutes from the program's start time until the end of the last set, with all event changes notated. Each resulting scroll was installed in the space, stacked above the previous day's, building a bar graph. Scrolls ranged from 12 to 22 feet long depending on the accumulated length of the event.
Spacial Tendencies projects are durational projects produced in performance where the artist acts as both subject and object. Some leave a physical record on paper or video, others don't.
